A Virtual Assistant (VA) is not just a trend, they’re a game changer for individuals and small businesses. A Virtual Assistant is a remote support professional who helps individuals and businesses manage day-to-day tasks, allowing them to focus on core operations, business growth, and strategic decision-making. Think of a VA as extra hands and smart support, completely online.
For business owners, hiring a VA means you can delegate efficiently without the overhead costs of office space, equipment, or employee benefits, while gaining flexible, on-demand expertise tailored to your specific business needs.
In this article, we’ll discuss five reasons why hiring a Virtual Assistant can help individuals and small businesses grow
5 REASONS A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT CAN HELP INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL BUSINESS GROW
1. Spend Time on What Drives Growth
Time is one of the biggest challenges for busy individuals and small business owners. That’s where a Virtual Assistant comes in. By taking care of routine tasks, like managing emails, scheduling appointments, handling data entry, or following up with customers, they give you back the time to focus on the things that really matter: growing your business, delighting your clients, and making smart strategic decisions.
2. Affordable Support Without Compromising Results
Hiring a Virtual Assistant is one of the smartest ways to cut costs without cutting corners. You don’t have to worry about office space, equipment, training, or employee benefits—but you still get access to skilled, professional support. And the best part? VAs are flexible, so you only pay for the help you actually need, when you need it.
3. Scalable Assistance Tailored to Your Needs
As your business picks up, your Virtual Assistant can step in to handle more of the load. Whether you need help for just a few hours a week or full-time support, a VA is flexible and ready to grow with you. That way, you can breeze through busy periods without worrying about long-term contracts or extra overhead.
4. Leverage Specialized Skills Without Hiring Full-Time
Virtual Assistants often bring specialized skills in areas like social media, customer support, marketing, bookkeeping, research, or general admin tasks. Instead of juggling multiple roles yourself, you can rely on a VA to handle these tasks efficiently and professionally, giving you more time to focus on what you do best.
5. Work Smarter and Grow Faster
By handing off tasks to a Virtual Assistant, you can streamline your workflow and get more organized. With less daily stress and smarter systems in place, your productivity naturally goes up, giving you more time to focus on growth opportunities. Over time, this not only improves performance but also boosts customer satisfaction and sets your business up for sustainable growth.
With Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancing rapidly, you might think that AI can do everything a Virtual Assistant can do but the truth is, AI still has its limits. Virtual Assistants and AI actually complement each other, working best when combined.
As I write this post, I have to admit—I’m not an expert VA, and I don’t have professional experience as a Virtual Assistant (at least, not yet). My skills come from writing and social media posting, which used to be hobbies of mine.
So, my final thoughts on this topic: Hiring a Virtual Assistant is a smart move for growing your business as long as you have the right budget and a clear idea of what you want to achieve.
I must say Taiwan is one of the cheapest to travel and a-must-visit country in Asia. If happen you are living in the Philippines and you compare the Market Price from PH to Taiwan, you might say “It’s like the Philippines, super cheap!” plus you will love the weather here (Not too Hot, Not too Cold).
Taiwanese People for me is so gentle compared to Chinese people (Technically their both Chinese but Taiwanese peps are like Japanese when it comes to the way they treat the Person)
TAIWAN
Taiwan is composed of Five Regions: Northern Taiwan Cities: Hsinchu, Hsinchu County, Keelung, New Taipei, Taipei, Taoyuan County, Yilan County, Yangmingshan National Park The capital city, main airport, and technology hub of the island
Central Taiwan Cities: Changhua County, Miaoli County, Nantou County, Sun Moon Lake, and Taichung Scenic mountains and lakes, major national parks and the second biggest city
Eastern Taiwan Cities: Hualien County, Taitung County, Taroko Gorge, Hualien, Taitung Hualien and Taitung are cut off from the rest of the island by the central mountains; This is a region of great natural beauty
Southern Taiwan Cities: Kaohsiung, Tainan, Chiayi County, Pingtung County, Yunlin County The tropics of Taiwan with beaches and terrestrial heat scenic
Outlying Islands (Green Island, Kinmen, Matsu, Orchid Island, Penghu) A couple of small islands that are popular getaway destinations with the locals.
Taiwan has many large cities and towns. Below is a list of the most notable. Other cities are listed under their specific regional section.
Taipei (臺北 or 台北) The capital and the center of commerce and culture. Home to the world’s fourth tallest skyscraper, Taipei 101.
Taichung (臺中 or 台中) The second largest city in Taiwan, also known as “food capital” in Taiwan. There are many night markets, museums, historical spots, and parks.
New Taipei City (新北市) The city that surrounds Taipei and the largest city in Taiwan. The area includes a substantial stretch of Taiwan’s northern coastline and surrounds the Taipei Basin. New Taipei City is the epitome of Taiwanese culture from the urban districts of Banqiao and Xinzhuang to the more laid-back Tamsui and Wulai.
Kaohsiung (高雄) The third largest city and also an industrial city. It has a busy seaport (the Port of Kaohsiung) along with the island nation’s second-largest airport, Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH).
Puli (埔里) A town located at the geographical center of the island. Serves as a hub for exploring the central mountains and Sun Moon Lake.
Tainan (臺南 or 台南) the oldest city and former capital, famous for its historic buildings.
The island nation of Taiwan is also home to high mountain ranges, great beaches and stunning national parks – many with hot springs. Other Destinations you might want to visit:
Alishan (阿里山) Misty forests of giant cypresses and amazing sunrises at the center of the island, reached by a scenic narrow-gauge train
Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) Nestled at 762 m (2,500 ft) in lofty mountains in Nantou County, this lake is famous for its clear sparkling blue water and picturesque mountain backdrop.
Taipingshan (太平山) A historic logging area and one of Taiwan’s most scenic spots. Located in Yilan County.
Yangmingshan National Park (陽明山國家公園) Spanning a mountain range overlooking Taipei with a dormant volcano still producing some steam.
Jiufen (九份) A former gold mining town located on the northeast coast that is now a popular tourist destination.
PRE TRAVEL GUIDE
HOW TO GET THERE: Two hours Flight from the Manila, Philippines, you can also fly direct from Cebu, Clark, & Iloilo.
Several platforms like Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, AirAsia and Jetstar; Travel search sites likeSkyscanner,Travelokaetc. are also available if you want to score a cheap flight to Hong Kong.
TAIWAN VISA: For Philippine Passport holders, can enjoy VISA-FREE entry to Taiwan (tourism, business, visiting relatives) for a duration of up to 14 days Until July 31, 2020.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Taiwan has a subtropical weather with an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The best season to visit Taiwan is during fall around November to March because of lesser rainfall. Typhoon season in Taiwan starts in July and end in October.
You may also want to avoid the Chinese New Year. This is peak season, so the prices of hotels are more expensive.
WHERE TO STAY: Accommodations in this country are pretty cheap, you can find a Dorm-type for 250.00 PHP (5 USD) per Night or Private Room for 1,500.00 PHP (32 USD).
I Highly Recommend staying in Ximending Area. One of the best and most convenient areas to stay. It’s a fun and lively commercial area with plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes.
WHERE TO EXCHANGE CURRENCY: Taiwan’s unit of currency is the New Taiwan Dollar (NTD). I find that changing currency is kinda stressful in Taiwan because currency exchange services are strictly regulated by the government. In Taiwan, you can exchange your currency in Airport/Banks (Mostly Close during Weekends)/Some accredited Money changer that’s not easy to find.
Mostly when exchanging your money in Banks/Airport they will deduct 100 NTD each transaction but we found one Local Money Changer near Taipower Building MRT Sta. (5 mins walk from MTR Sta.) which give you the exact exchange rate without deduction. If I remember it’s a jewelry shop with moneychanger inside. You can that check-out thru Google Map.
Alternatively, you can also withdraw NTD from an ATM. The rates are competitive. Just be sure to advise your bank you’ll be using your ATM card overseas so you don’t run into any problems.
TRAVEL CHECKLIST: Klook saves a lot of money and Energy (in some ways) when it comes to Activities, Transportation and etc. I definitely recommend booking your travel activities with KLOOK! Sign-up here to get 150.00 PHP Discount on your Bookings: KLOOK
»Stay in Hostels / Guesthouses Hostels in Sort-of Expensive but if you do have a budget, you can stay at the Hotel. Here are some of my List when booking my accommodation: 1. Bookings 2. Agoda 3. Airbnb
»It’s Better to book your Activities and Tourist Pass thru Klook.combecause touring in Northern & Southern of Taiwan is kinda hassle to do DIY-thing because of transportation availability. (Note: Not all Location is accessible by MRT or TRA)
»You can use your Easycard when buying food in a convenient store, Transportation such as MRT and Bus (Within the Central of Taiwan) Note: You need to pay in cash if you’re planning to go to Taichung via Bus.
»For Souvenirs (Like Keychain and Ref Magnet etc), you can buy in Shilin Market it’s a lot cheaper than buying in other Night Market in Taipei but my little advice is.. if happen you visit Shifen Old Street and you want to buy the Mini lantern as a souvenir. Go Buy it! Don’t hesitate, sometimes they offer “buy 5 take 1” for 100-150NTD ( I forgot, something like that) it’s super cheap when buying that in central. I think one lantern in any night market in Taipei will cost you around 50-100NTD.

Bali, One of the most popular travel destination in Southeast Asia because of its Old Temples, Beaches, Food, Night Life and culture. Not to mention, that it so cheap to travel in Bali.
As you can see in my previous blogs, Last year we visited Hong kong and Macao for few days with PHP 11,000 Budget. And now, another year, another travel together and we decided to visit the most travel destination for couples — Bali, Indonesia.
This time around we spend 16 epic-days travelling in three different country such as Bali, Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Finally our last leg for this 2019 adventure is Thailand (Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai).
BALI
Top Tourist Destination:
Ubud The cultural hub of Bali. Home to one of Bali’s royal families, this traditional country town has royal palaces and ancient temples. It’s also where some of the world’s notable artisans and collectors have visited and worked in.
Denpasar
Denpasar is the capital of Bali, but most travellers breeze past this city in favour of the beach and highlands. While it isn’t really geared to tourism, you can find several historical, multi-cultural, traditional, and religious gems. There are museums and monuments from the Dutch colonial period, along with several temples that will no doubt surprise you with their allure.
Seminyak Seminyak is Bali’s most stylish and upscale beach resort area. It’s home to some of the island’s most luxurious resorts and the streets are lined with fine-dining restaurants and fashion boutiques. Seminyak’s Petitenget Beach offers a secluded ambience, especially when compared to Kuta and Legian to its south. However, after sunset, a livelier nightlife scene takes over. Many of the hotspots in Seminyak have garnered an international following, including chic hotels and first-class beach clubs.
Canggu Canggu is a coastal village that spans between Seminyak and Tanah Lot. The coastline has several black sand beaches, almost all with surf breaks that are popular among both local and international surfers. The countryside has picturesque rice fields that are close to Bali’s luxury villas and resorts. Known for its great surf and being home to Bali’s expatriate community, Canggu is dotted with numerous surf camps, international bars, restaurants, and retail outlets.
Nusa Penida Nusa Penida is the largest and most exotic of the 3 Nusa islands, thanks to its collection of unique Hindu temples and picturesque natural features of cliff formations and lagoons. Nusa Penida measures over 200 sq km – significantly larger than the popular Nusa Lembongan and its accessible sister island, Nusa Ceningan. Nusa Penida has a very limited number of hotels and tourist features.

From April to October, surfing is at its best on the west coast, while from November to March, the east coast offers better conditions. Surprisingly, the dry season is more popular for surfing but is also the most crowded.

TIPS
» For the First time International Travel, just bring these documents to avoid being offloaded.
1. Valid passport (at least 6 months)
2. Certificate of Employment (COE, of course, if you’re employed)
3. Approved Leave of Absence (LOA, if employed)
4. Company ID (First thing na hinahanap ng IO to bes!)
5. Return flight ticket (A must)
6. A copy of your daily itinerary
7. A visa (to a particular country if applicable)
» To avoid long line/queues, you must Check-In first via Web / Mobile. You can use your mobile device as early as 7 days before your flight (ending 4 hours before your flight) to check in and get your boarding pass. This service is really fast and seamless and can definitely guarantee you a convenient check-in process.
»Rent a 4g Wifi to stay connected (WiFi device where up to 5 people can connect)
•Google Maps: Your ultimate travel navigator during your trip. It provides with routes and walking trails towards your destination.
»Always bring your passport with you
For safety purposes as well as for you to also be ready to present it whenever a Police Officer or a Government Official demands it.
MONEY SAVING TIPS: »Stay in Hostels / Guesthouses
Hostels in Sort-of Expensive but if you do have a budget, you can stay at the Hotel.
Here are some of my List when booking my accommodation:
1. Bookings
2. Agoda
3. Airbnb
»Always change your money to USD
It’s more convenient and practical when traveling abroad. The Best Area where to exchange your money is in Ubud Area (I think, kahit siguro saan lugar sa Ubud mataas ang palitan ng USD) and Also Seminyak Area (Money changer near Motel Mexicola / W Hotel. somewhere in the area)
»Souvenir Tips
Some people say that it’s cheaper if you bought your souvenir in Ubud Market. Nope, that’s not true the best place for me to shop in Tanah Lot Market you can haggle to the max and buy a authentic rattan bag for 130K IDR (Big size) while the Palazzo pants is worth 40K IDR.
GETTING AROUND:
Just like here in the Philippines, traveling and getting around the city is more convenient and cheaper if you just rent a car. Public Transportation in Bali is not an option because no one used it unless you’re a local .
If you are a couple (Just like us), i suggest you rent a motorbike if you want to wander around the city like a real tourist. (Please note: Drive at your own risk because some of the police officer randomly check if carry your IDL (International Driving Licence) with you.
Grab Taxi/Car and Uber are also available on the island, just download the app to book a ride. (Actually, It’s a bit cheaper to take Grab Car than booking a Bali Driver in Social Media)
If you’re a solo traveler and you don’t know how to drive a motorbike you can book and Hire thru GO-JEK – an app for motorbike taxi very similar to Uber.

Macau or Macao often described as the Las Vegas of the East and Home to Mega Casinos and Hotels. Macau has an old-world European feel left by centuries of Portuguese influence.
If you enjoy Club Parties, then Macau needs no introduction. It’s one of the best party destinations in Asia. Whether you’re into gambling, parties or culture, there is much to experience in Macau which you can easily do on a day trip from Hong Kong. I hope this guide can help you plan your trip.
MACAU
Macau is composed of Four Districts:
Macau Peninsula (澳門半島 O Mun Pun To)
The northernmost region connected to the Chinese mainland. It is the center of most tourist activity and is densely crowded. Taipa (氹仔 Tam Chai)
The island south of the peninsula, accessible via three bridges. It is a major residential center and is the location of Macau’s International Airport. Cotai (路氹 Lou Tam)
A strip of reclaimed land between Coloane and Taipa, with vast new casinos rising up (such as The Venetian, the largest casino in the world). Coloane (路環 Lou Wan)
The most southern island, it is considerably less developed than the other regions due to its mountainous terrain. It has two beaches, several hiking trails, and a resort. It is also the location of Macau’s first golf course.

»We waited for almost an hour for a shuttle going to City of Dreams (COD)
Note: »Sobrang daming shuttle na available sa oras na yon but we still choose the latter part na mas malapit sa airport, beside libre mag iwan ng luggage sa casino ng COD and malapit pa sa Venetians.
»Some Hotels like Venetian I think you have to pay around 20-30HKD to store your luggage. Oh btw, may kapwa pinoy staff sa Venetian Hotel. Nung naliligaw kami at hinahanap yung location ng Bus Terminal nila luckily yung napagtanungan ko ay Pinoy so hindi ako na-nosebleed.

Hong Kong is special to me because it’s our (My Boyfriend) First International Travel together and also marked my 5th country to visit out of 193; and his Nth time to visit HK.
Hong Kong is one of the richest financial and trading center in Asia and also one of the vibrant cities in the world that tourists love to come and visit because of its VISA FREE (for Philippine Passport Holders).
Traveling to Hong Kong for the first time? This Itinerary will help you to Plan your trip; If you’re into Photography, I listed out the Instagramable-must-visit place in Hong Kong.
HONG KONG
Hong Kong is composed of Five Districts:
Hong Kong Island (香港島)
The site of the original British settlement and the main focus of most tourists. Most of Hong Kong’s highest skyscrapers and the financial center can be found here. Overall, Hong Kong Island is more modern and wealthy and considerably less dirty than the other areas of Hong Kong. The Peak is the tallest point on the island, with the best views and highest real estate values in the world. Kowloon (九龍)
The peninsula to the north of Hong Kong Island, with great views of the island. It offers a chaotic mix of malls, street markets, and residential tenements. With over 2.1 million people living in an area of less than 47 square kilometers, Kowloon is one of the most densely populated places in the world. Kowloon includes Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀), the location of many budget hotels and Mong Kok (旺角), a shopping district. Kowloon city (九龍城區), is worth the visit. Full of local restaurants, this area is famous for Thaï food, the amazing Wall City Park and the Kowloon Tsai park with an incredible swimming pool. New Territories (新界)
Named by British officials when leased from the Chinese government in 1898, the New Territories contain a curious mix of small farms, villages, industrial installations, mountainous country parks and towns that have populations the size of some cities. Lantau Island (大嶼山)
A large island west of Hong Kong Island. You will not find many idyllic villages, but once you get over the stray dogs and the ramshackle buildings you will find beautiful mountains and beaches. The airport, Disneyland, and the Ngong Ping cable car are located here. Outlying Islands (離島)
Well-known weekend destinations for the locals, the Outlying Islands are most of the islands surrounding Hong Kong Island. Highlights include Lamma (南丫島), well known for its seafood and Cheung Chau (長洲), a small island that used to be a pirates’ den, but now attracts seafood aficionados, windsurfers and sunbathing day trippers.

MONEY SAVING TIPS:
»Stay in Hostels / Guesthouses
Hostels in Sort-of Expensive but if you do have a budget, you can stay at the Hotel.
Here are some of my List when booking my accommodation:
1. Bookings
2. Agoda
3. Airbnb
Note: If you can avoid Booking in Chungking Mansion, Please do so. I’m nothing against the place but there is a lot of scammer around the area so please be aware.
»Food Saving Tips: Buy some Snacks, Can Goods and any resealable pack that you can bring going to Hong Kong. Honestly, it saves a lot of money. But if you’re not a budget traveler like us, you can splurge on whatever you want.
»Always change your money to USD
It’s more convenient and practical when traveling abroad. In Chungking Mansion there is Western Union with Good Exchange Rates and also one of our kababayan around the area will give you also a Good Exchange Rates.
»Souvenir Tips Wala kang mabibiling pasalubong na mura sa Ladies Market but when buying pasalubong tagain mo nang tawad like 90% off (Haggle to the max!). e.g. Katulad ng sticker ref magnet nila, yung isang balot ng may 5/6 pcs na Sticker magnet mabibili mo ng 25hkd each pero hindi pa yon ang sagad nila, kaya ibaba pa yon ng 15-18hkd. Meron don na Chinese vendor alam kung paano tumawad yung mga Pinoy so she offers me 20hkd each Sticker Magnet but I managed to lower the price by 15-18hkd
»Use Public Transportation
Navigating around the city may seem chaotic and complicated but in Hong Kong the only way to go around the City is Via Train / Bus / Walk so better to familiarize the train system and Bus Routes and don’t be afraid to ask the locals for directions (inside and outside the city.)
